5 associations gathered HAWA succeeds Binh Duong Furniture Association
Binh Duong Province, located in the southeastern part of Vietnam, is a major base for the wood processing industry. Binh Duong Provincial Furniture Association is Vietnam's largest furniture association with about 300 members, mainly manufacturers.
The top export destinations for products are the US, EU, Japan, and South Korea.“We also have products made from Japanese cypress,” says Vice Chairman Tran Anh Vu.
Regarding the future of HAWA, he said, "Five associations related to furniture have joined forces. There is no doubt that it will be a success."
Not rely completely on OEM Adding value of design B+ Furniture
Founded in 2016, B+ Furniture is a furniture manufacturer that produces highly designed chairs and dining sets. According to Mr. Le Tan Minh, the company's representative, they are exporting to Singapore, but they have yet to do business with Japan. As for the future, he said, "It will become more important for us to increase our own added value without completely relying on OEM."
Regarding HAWA, he also said, "It's small, but the quality of exhibitors and visitors is high, and the contents are rich."
Contract incorporating European trends Momentum Living
Momentum Living in Dong Nai province is mainly for contracts such as restaurants. 70% of the export destination is the United States, and there is no transaction with Japan. The strength of the company is its sophisticated design that incorporates European trends and employs Danish designers.
Merchandising manager Mr. Thomas said about the strengths of Vietnamese furniture, "Compared to other ASEAN countries, labor costs are not yet high, and technical capabilities are stable."

Mr. Nicolai Lehn, a Danish design director, said, "The Japanese market has a high level of demand. We will raise the standard of factory equipment."
