With the support of the government, which positions the furniture industry as an important industry in the country, further expansion is expected from the next time onwards.
The organizer, HAWA (Handcraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City), has great expectations for Japanese companies entering the Vietnamese market. During the exhibition period, a furniture factory tour was held for Japanese companies.
They visited three factories: AN CUONG, Vietnam's largest distributor of interior building materials, LAM VIET JOINT STOCK COMPANY, one of the top 10 furniture manufacturers in the country, and MOC LUC FURNITURE with the president Shoji fujino, which has been producing furniture for a long time in Vietnam.
In addition, an exchange meeting was held at a hotel in the city with people from Japanese companies. Top executives of local furniture and wood processing businesses and Japanese business people visiting HAWA exchanged information. Masayuki Abe, representative director of KURASHICO, who supervised and produced the Japan Pavilion, which was exhibited jointly by Japanese companies this time said, "It was a useful opportunity to discuss frankly the possibilities and challenges of the Vietnamese market."
