Malaysia International Furniture Fair opens Full-scale event for the first time in four years

The Malaysia International Furniture Fair (MIFF) (sponsored by Informa Markets), one of the largest furniture fairs in Southeast Asia, opened on March 1st. It is now held for four days until the 4th at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) and the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. There is also a Japan Pavilion where six Japanese companies exhibit.

At the opening ceremony on the 1st, MIFF founder and chairman Dato’ Dr. Tan Chin Huat said, " The lost pandemic years has shown the importance of MIFF in global furniture commerce as a relevant and steady partner for business growth. It encourages real opportunities for MIFF and the Malaysian furniture industry to work closely and with other stakeholders to develop new prospects and new markets. The profile of buyers is shifting to high quality purchasers. These are people with big buying authority and they bring a lot momentum to the pace of business.”as his determination to hold the event.

It is the first time in four years that MIFF is held in March. 671 companies and organizations from 11 countries and regions are exhibiting, that is almost 12% more from their previousbestin 2019. 200 Chinese companies are exhibiting at the China Pavilion. More than 20,000 visitors are expected from 140 countries and regions.

France Bed, Panasonic Housing Solutions, Koyo Corporation, Chiyoda, Daichi, and Ikeshou are exhibiting at the "Japan Pavilion" by member companies of the Asia Furniture Forum.
